Cartoonist Nuri Kurtcebe was detained and arrested in Yalova on June 5, 2018, on the grounds that he was convicted for the charges of “insulting the President of the Republic”. He has been sentenced to 1 year 2 months 15 days imprisonment for this charge given by the 2nd Criminal Court of First Instance of Fethiye in 2017. He has been released on probation on the following day.
