On September 30, 2020, the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) imposed an administrative fine on Kanal D TV channel on the grounds that “there had been a mocking attitude towards Prophet Adam” while mentioning a person named Adem (Turkish word for Adam) in a TV series titled “Yeni Hayat” (New Life) (September 30).
