The Constitutional Court has announced its decision on alleged violations of the right to freedom of speech and freedom of press regarding a broadcast ban imposed on news about the Parliamentary investigation committee which was established to investigate the allegations of corruption and bribery allegations against former ministers Mehmet Zafer Çağlayan, Muammer Güler, Egemen Bağış and Erdoğan Bayraktar.
In result of the application by Halk TV channel, the Constitutional Court has decided that the broadcast ban imposed by the decision of 7. Ankara Criminal Peace Judge on 25.11.2014, has violated “freedom of press” and “freedom of expression”.
