bianet reporter Ruken Tuncel gave her statement upon the criminal complaint of Prof. Ülkü Özbey, a faculty member of Munzur University. Submitting a criminal complaint to the Tunceli Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, Özbey argued that “Tuncel violated her right to privacy”. Summoned to depose upon this complaint, Tuncel, accompanied by her lawyer Sibel Erol, went to the İstanbul Beylikdüzü Security Directorate and gave her statement (May 20).
