The 2nd High Criminal Court of Adıyaman acquitted Boğatekin on accusations of “propagandising for a terrorist organization” for his article on “FETO and APO” published in 2008 due to the absence of evidence. It was decided that he shall be sentenced for the charge of “Praising an Offence and Offender”.

Boğatekin has served 109 days in prison due to his article on “FETÖ and Apo”. Lately, he was again sentenced to 1 year of imprisonment for the charges of “Praising an Offence and Offender” due to the this article (5 March)

On December 17, the Court of Appeal upheld the prison sentence previously given to Hacı Boğatekin for the charge of “Praising an Offence and Offender” (17 December)
