A lawsuit has been filed against Furkan Karabay, editor of the Gerçek Gündem news site, on the charges of “insulting the President” (Turkish Criminal Code Article 299). The trial of the journalist will be held on October 3, at the Istanbul 60th Criminal Court of First Instance (February 17).
