Police raided the Istanbul office of the Etkin news agency (ETHA) on 15 June 2019 in relation to a court decision ordering that “İstanbul Sokakta” (Istanbul on the streets), a recent supplement issued by the weekly newspaper Atılım,be pulled off newsstands. Editors, İsminaz Temel, Deniz Bakır and Serdal Işık, the reporters Havva Cuştan and Ozan Sarı, including Mehmet Acettin and an employee of the Ceylan Publications Gülçin Aykul were taken in custody and they were released on the fourth day of their detention with an international travel ban.
