In the trial over the attack on Korkusuz columnist Ahmet Takan in front of his house in Ankara in November 2019, defendant Emre Aydemir, who battered the journalist with a baseball bat, shouting the slogan, “The leader of the movement [Nationalist Movement Party – MHP Chair] Devlet Bahçeli”, was fined 2 thousand TRY at the lowest limit on the grounds of “good conduct”; his judicial fine was splitted into instalments (February 4).
