Journalist Ozan Acıdere was taken into custody along with eight students while he was covering the press statement of Boğaziçi University students against the trustee-rector appointment to their university. Charged with “violating the Law no. 2911 on Meetings and Demonstrations”, Acıdere was released from detention after giving his statement (August 23).
