İleri Haber Editor-in-Chief İzel Sezer, in a social media message on September 16, 2022, announced that a lawsuit for damages was filed by AKP Ankara MP Ali İhsan Arslan against herself and İleri Haber columnist Doğan Ergün. 

In the petition submitted by Arslan’s lawyer Reşat Yıldırım to the Ankara Civil Court of First Instance on Duty on February 2, 2022, it was argued that the news report titled “Million worth of tender game at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry” dated October 25, 2021. They faced 20 thousand TRY in damages on charge of “insult and libel” (September 16).

The seventh hearing of the case was held on July 1, 2024, at the Ankara 20th Civil Court of First Instance. Sezer and Ergün’s lawyers, Ahmet Faruk Ümüt, requested that the case be dismissed. The case was dismissed with the right to appeal (July 1).
