With its decision dated January 11, 2023, the İstanbul 9th Penal Judgeship of Peace imposed an access block on bianet’s news report titled “The opposition cannot object to military spending even where it deepens poverty” on the grounds of a “violation of personal rights”. The decision was given upon the request of SADAT, a military consulting firm which was founded by retired general Adnan Tanrıverdi, also a former advisor to President Erdoğan (January 11).
