Following a cyberattack on the news website T24, a fake article claiming that President Erdoğan was distributing Bitcoin was published by hackers. The article, titled “Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is now giving away Bitcoin for the next 24 hours!”, appeared under the name of T24 columnist Hasan Cemal and was later removed.
T24 issued a public statement and apologized for the incident.
