The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation against the news website T24 over its report titled “Journalists Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin killed in Syria.” The Prosecutor’s Office claimed that Nazım Daştan and Cihan Bilgin, who were killed in northern Syria on 19 December, had “proceedings against them due to their alleged membership in the PKK.” The investigation against T24 is being conducted on suspicion of “terrorist propaganda” and “publicly disseminating misleading information.”
