Journalist Dicle Baştürk was taken into custody on 13 June in a police raid on her home in Istanbul, as part of an investigation in Artvin, reportedly conducted on allegations of “organization” activities. In the investigation, which is under a confidentiality order, Baştürk and other journalists were transferred about 1,500 km away to Artvin on a 20-hour journey from Istanbul. After being brought before a court, Baştürk was arrested. She was first sent to Artvin Prison and later transferred to Erzincan Prison. In the same investigation, journalists Ozan Cırık and Eylem Emel Yılmaz were also arrested.
