Investigative journalist and author Murat Ağırel, who was detained on 10 April together with BirGün columnist Timur Soykan upon the complaint of Erkan Kork, the imprisoned owner of Flash TV and Bank Pozitif under a money laundering investigation, was released under judicial control measures, including a signature obligation and an international travel ban. Ağırel filed a complaint with the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) against the judicial officials who issued and enforced the detention order.
