On 25 October 2025, journalist Uğur Eser was physically assaulted by relatives of traffic accident victims while covering the accident in Aydın’s Efeler district. He was attacked along with Abdurrahman Fırat, Aziz Özden, and Yusuf Konrat, bringing the number of assaulted journalists to four. Eser went to the hospital on his own, obtained a medical report, and filed a complaint with the Efeler Police Department.
