Journalist Yavuz Oğhan was taken from his home in the early morning and brought to the Istanbul Police Department as part of the investigation into Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. He was questioned about social media posts and whether he received money from İBB officials, based on the statements of a secret witness named “İlke.” He denied all accusations, and his phone was confiscated. He was released under a travel ban.
Other journalists questioned as part of the investigation include Soner Yalçın, Şaban Sevinç, Ruşen Çakır, and Batuhan Çolak. Aslı Aydıntaşbaş was abroad and therefore not questioned.
