The regulation, which has been on hold at the presidency since September 2018, was published in the Official Gazette on August 1, and the period given to online broadcasters to obtain licenses from the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) in accordance with the regulation expired on September 1.
Thus, it officially began to control online broadcasts from September 2.
