A lawsuit was filed against the journalist Kemal Yavuzel by former minister Erdoğan Bayraktar because Yavuzel published the leaked tape recordings that became public during the “December 17/25” graft probe when he was the news director of the news portal Gerçek Gündem. Kemal Yavuzel was convicted of “violating the privacy of a person’s private life” in a trial where the Istanbul Anatolian 68th Criminal Court of First Instance found sentenced the journalist 10-months of imprisonment. The execution of the sentence was suspended by five years.
