On 13 July 2018, the Supreme Court of Appeals overturned the acquittal of journalist Nagehan Alçı who has been tried for “insult” regarding the former military commander, Hurşit Tolon, in 2013 at the 10th High Criminal Court of Bakırköy. She is expected to be tried again in the local court.
