The 22nd High Criminal Court of İstanbul, with the decision dated 14 February 2017, sentenced Cengiz Baysoy to a fine of 6 thousand TL for having participated in the “Editors-in-Chief on Watch” campaign in solidarity with the closed Özgür Gündem newspaper.

İmam Canpolat was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months of imprisonment due to his article published in Özgür Gündem newspaper the day when he has participated in the in the “Editors-in-Chief on Watch” campaign.
