A lawsuit was filed against journalist İsmail Saymaz on charge of “insult” over his statements about the cult leader Büreyde Öncel during a TV program “Esas Mesele” on Yol TV. At the hearing held at the İstanbul 35th Criminal Court of First Instance, the court board ruled against Saymaz and imposed a judicial fine of 3,480 lira (June 16).
