A lawsuit was filed against Ceyda Karan, a writer for daily Cumhuriyet, demanding up to 2 years and 4 months of imprisonment, for she has allegedly insulted Taha Ün nicknamed as “Sağlam İrade” on Twitter in September 2017. In the scope of the investigation, when interrogated, she had told that she, herself, complained about Ün’s tweets that insult and libel Karan.
