An article published by soL news website regarding Assoc. Prof. Yasin Çetin, who played a role in the annulment of detained Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu’s university diploma, was blocked from access in Turkey on 13 May 2025. The restriction was imposed on the grounds of “national security and public order.” The report included claims about Çetin’s TÜGVA membership and advisory role to an AKP mayor. The Freedom of Expression Association (İFÖD) disclosed the decision.
