Former Minister of Treasury and Finance Berat Albayrak’s elder brother and Turkuvaz Media Group’s CEO Serhat Albayrak and his spouse Şule Albayrak, also a faculty member from the Marmara University Faculty of Theology, had an access block imposed on several news reports about themselves by the decision of the İstanbul Anadolu 4th Criminal Judegship of Peace.
Among the access blocked news reports were the following: “Columnists criticized the media’s attitude towards Berat Albayrak” (Köşe yazarları medyanın Berat Albayrak tutumunu eleştirdi) published on evrensel.net; “A lawsuit filed over news on Paradise Papers, journalist Pelin Ünker’s hearing adjourned” (Paradise Papers haberleri nedeniyle hakkında dava açılmıştı, Gazeteci Pelin Ünker’in duruşması ertelendi) published on T24; “A suit for damages for 200 thousand lira by Serhat Albayrak against Evrensel” (Serhat Albayrak’tan Evrensel’e 200 bin liralık dava) published on Gazete Duvar; “Albayrak is gone, ATV lashes out at the government” (Albayrak gitti ATV hükümete çattı) on Cumhuriyet; “Is Demirören Media CEO Mehmet Soysal dismissed?” (Demirören Medya CEO’su Mehmet Soysal görevden alındı mı?) on boldapp; and “A Haber targets the singers of Susamam” (A Haber Susamam şarkıcılarını hedef gösterdi) on Medya Koridoru (April 16).
