An access block has been imposed on crime group leader Sedat Peker’s YouTube channel and some videos and his Twitter and Instagram accounts on the grounds of “protecting national security and public order”. IT law specialist Prof. Yaman Akdeniz from the Freedom of Expression Association has said that the ban has not yet been put into effect though the related platforms have representatives in Turkey. After an operation was carried out against his organization and his house was raided, Peker has been sharing videos since May 2021, targeting the government, especially Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu (June 25).
