The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) imposed an administrative fine of 12,804 Turkish Lira (TRY) on the AMED Radyo TV, which does terrestrial broadcasting in Diyarbakır, on the grounds that “it did not send its RTÜK declaration.”
AMED Radio TV Executive Board Chair and Editor-in-Chief Ferat Mehmetoğlu said, “Tough it was requested by RTÜK several times and we sent it via the KEP account, the official means of communication, every time, we were unfortunately fined today” (April 20).
