Over the remarks and allegations of Ahmet Saltık, a guest at the “5. Boyut” (5th Dimension) program aired on TELE 1 TV, about the health condition of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) concluded that TELE 1 violated the principles of broadcasting on the grounds that Saltık said President Erdoğan has some diseases without basing this allegation on an official document and the Parliamentary Speaker should ask him for a medical report. Accordingly, the RTÜK imposed an administrative fine on the channel on the upper limit (July 28).
