The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has imposed an administrative fine of 28,238 Turkish Lira (TRY) on TELE 1 TV channel over its program “Anında Manşet” (Headline in an Instant) broadcast on February 1, 2021 at 9 p.m. on the grounds of the violation of the Article 8/1-ç of the Law no. 6112, which says, “…shall not be contrary to human dignity and the principle of respect to privacy, shall not include disgracing, degrading or defamatory expressions against persons or organizations beyond the limits of criticism” (February 10).
