The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has fined TV outlets TELE 1, KRT, Halk TV, and Flash TV for broadcasting Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s claims about President Erdoğan and his family’s transferring money to the US. RTÜK decided that airing Kılıçdaroğlu’s allegations was a violation of law and imposed a fine on 4 outlets from the upper limit which makes 3 percent of the advertising revenues (May 31).
