Yeni Yaşam newspaper writer Ahmet Güneş was called to testify due to the news he shared on his social media account regarding the allegations that the Turkish Armed Forces used chemical weapons. He was released after his statement (May 17).
A lawsuit was filed against Güneş. The first hearing will be held at the Istanbul 25th High Criminal Court on October 10, 2023 (July 14).
The first hearing of the case in which Güneş was tried on the charge of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization” (TMK 7/2) was held on 10 October 2023 at the Istanbul 25th High Criminal Court. The case was postponed until January 11, 2024 (October 10).
