bianet Kurdish editor Aren Yıldırım was taken into custody in a police operation at his house in Üsküdar, İstanbul at 6:00 am in the morning.
He was taken to the İstanbul Security Directorate in the Fatih district.
Yıldırım’s lawyer Ülkü Şahin said access to the file was restricted and there was a 24-hour ban on lawyer visits (March 15).
Aren Yıldırm was brought to the İstanbul Çağlayan courthouse in the morning on March 17. He was released after his statement was taken by the prosecutor. No judicial control measures were imposed on Yıldırım. His tapped phone calls related to his news reports were asked to him when he was questioned. (March 17).
