Former Radikal and Habertürk TV reporter Mustafa Gökkılıç was arrested on July 19, 2018 in the scope of the investigation against the allegation of conspiracy against FETÖ / PDY for calling National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Undersecretary and some MIT officials to testify on February 7, 2012.

Arrested journalist Gökkılıç was sentenced to 8 years, 4 months in prison for “membership in a terrorist organization” and “violating the confidentiality of the investigation” in the “MIT plot” case on March 3, 2021 (March 3).
