Net News Agency reporter Emre Orman was arrested on October 24, 2019 for allegedly “propagandasing for a terrorist organization” due to the his social media posts
Orman was released on October 31 as a result of the objection to his detention by his lawyers.
Orman was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months and 22 days of imprisonment for “propagandizing for a terrorist organisation” at the first hearing held on February 13, 2020 at the 34th High Criminal Court of İstanbul. The pronouncement of the judgement was deferred (13 February).
