An attack was attempted on the headquarters of KRT TV in the Sarıyer district of Istanbul on 21 December 2024. The Istanbul Police Department announced that the suspect was apprehended and legal proceedings were initiated on charges of “property damage.” In a statement posted on social media platform X, KRT TV stated that the individual claimed to have a hand grenade and forcibly entered the building. The suspect was detained following a swift police intervention.
