İbrahim Akkuş, a reporter for Yeniçağ Newspaper who reported on the deficiencies of a public hospital constructed in the district of 19 Mayıs in Samsun, was battered by the employees of the contractor. The assaulters were released (June 21).
Having attacked Akkuş, workers of the contractor company (Bayındırlar Construction Inc.) Kadir S. and İsmail Ş. have been dismissed from their jobs at the company without getting any compensation (July 28).
