Following the Justice Watch held in İstanbul’s Bağcılar Square on September 17, 2022 by the prisoners’ relatives for ill prisoners and prisoners with their execution halted, JinNews reporter Marta Sömek was battered by İstanbul Security Directorate’s Security Department Head Hanifi Zengin. Police officers also used violence against the journalists following the news and prevented them from filming the incident (September 17).
