The Press Advertisement Institution (BİK) fined the Sözcü Newspaper by cutting its public ads for four days over the two articles of columnist Saygı Öztürk dated June 17 and 18, 2020, where he mentioned how AKP Trabzon MP Bahar Ayvazoğlu’s spouse Ali Ayvazoğlu and former assistant Emine Altuntaş rose in public institutions.
Since 2019, the public ads of Sözcü have been cut for 23 days in total (September 28).
