Journalist Buse Söğütlü is on trial along with 34 people on the grounds that she attended the March 8 Feminist Night March. Standing trial before the İstanbul 58th Criminal Court of First Instance, they face the charges of “violating the Law no. 2911 on Meetings and Demonstrations”, “resisting to prevent the fulfilment of duty” and “damaging public property.”

At the second hearing of the case held on December 29, 2021, the court ruled that witnesses should be heard and the deficiencies in the file should be rectified. The next hearing will be held on April 28, 2022 (December 29).
