The court previously ruled that Diken news website’s news report about the complaint submitted against Sivas Governor Yılmaz Şimşek to the Interior Ministry on the grounds that he had illegal ties to the İzmir-based Sintan Inc. should be deleted. Diken’s news report regarding this censorship was censored as well.
With its decision dated July 23, 2022 and numbered 2022/1854, the Sivas 2nd Criminal Judgeship of Peace ruled that the news report covering the censorship should be deleted (July 23).
