Bayburt Group Company has filed a lawsuit against Cumhuriyet Newspaper journalist Çiğdem Toker due to her article “If you want to save money, check the subway biddings” alleging the article spread misinformation and requested 1.5 million TL as compensation, on 28 May 2018.

Trial proceedings were held at Ankara 13 Civil Court of First Instance. At the trial on July 9, plaintiff did not attend to the hearing without giving an excuse. Therefore, the court dropped the case. Since the plaintiff did not renew their complaint in three months, the case is closed.
