Daily Sabah claimed the arrest warrant issued for Journalist Hasan Cemal in the scope of the investigation concerning the inmate Osman Kavala, Anadolu Kültür Executive Board Chair, rights advocate and businessperson. However, his lawyer Fikret İlkiz said that “such a decision has not been reached us”. Daily had also targeted journalist Hasan Cemal and Banu Güven, former anchorperson in IMC TV (pro-Kurdish TV channel) in the news article written by Kenan Kıran (21 November 2018).
