Upon being summoned to the police station, BirGün daily Editorial Board member Barış İnce was taken into custody on January 30, 2017. A warrant had been issued to forcibly take İnce to appear before the Prosecutor’s Office and testify in another investigation.
İnce was released after testifying in the İstanbul Court in Çağlayan. He was reportedly forced to wear handcuffs while being detained in the court.
