As part of an investigation launched on charge of “being a member of an organization”, journalist Emre Orman was taken into custody in a police raid on his house in İstanbul’s Ataşehir on March 30, 2022.
Brought to the İstanbul Security Directorate on Vatan Avenue, Orman was taken to the İstanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan to give his statement at the prosecutor’s office after the related formalities were completed at the security directorate. He was released on the condition that he gave his signature at the law enforcement office closest to his residence once a week (April 1).
