After he gave his statement as part of an investigation launched into a comic that he posted on Twitter, Enver Aysever was told that there was a detention warrant issued against him by the Çerkezköy Criminal Judgeship of Peace and he was taken into custody. Aysever was released after giving his statement. The charge of “provoking the public to hostility and hatred” was cited as the reason for his detention (March 17).
