Ömer Turan, the founder of Manset24.com news website was detained on September 23, 2017 on the grounds that he has shared tweets in which he has praised Emre Uslu, Mehmet Baransu and Önder Aytaç, Hakan Fidan, the Undersecretary of MİT and published an article on Önder Aytaç’s alleged nomination of candidacy for the MIT Undersecretariat. Turan was released the following evening.
