Journalist Gabriele Del Grande, who came to Turkey to do some research for his book about Syrian Civil War and the IS, was taken into custody in Hatay two days after his visit. He was not allowed to speak to his lawyer. Only 10 days later, he could call his wife and friends in Greece. He was released from detention to be deported on April 24, 2017
