Loup Bureau, a journalist from France, was taken into custody on July 26 at Habur Border Gate near Silopi district of Şırnak in southeastern Turkey while crossing the border from Iraq to Turkey, was arrested on August 2 on the charge of “aiding and abetting a terrorist organization” and was sent to Şırnak Prison.

After his indictment was approved by the Şırnak 3dr Heavy Criminal Court the court decided that Bureau, who is also a journalism student, be released.
