In Istanbul, police raided the offices of Mücadele Birliği Newspaper, Ayışığı Ekin Art Association and the homes of employees. Songül Yücel, Editor-in-Chief of Önsöz magazine published by Ayışığı Ekin Art Association, and illustrator Sena Şat from the editorial board were detained in their homes on suspicion of “membership in a terrorist organization” (TCK 314) (6 October).
Police detained Ezgi Yergin, Editor-in-Chief of Mücadele Birliği Newspaper and Muhammed Hizmetçi, representative of Mücadele Birliği Platform (6 October).
Detained newspaper and magazine employees were released on October 9 (9 October).
