On 23 September 2025, İhsan Demir, the responsible managing editor of TELE1, was taken from his home and brought to the courthouse by police over a subtitle reading “What’s the difference between RTE and Netanyahu?” which appeared for about a minute during the 21 September 2025 broadcast of “Türkiye’nin Yönü.” Demir was released under judicial control with a travel ban and reporting obligation.
